This looks great! Can I make a small suggestion for the binoculars shot? The Tantive and SD probably would be covered in atmospheric haze. Perhaps making these elements a bit more translucent and blended into the sky, it would look more like a shot from space. Perhaps even a HUD element that tracks the ships in the binoculars? Minor things, of course as I can only imagine the immense amount of work it took to clean these shots.

My clip I have is 1280 and has some pixelation in the shadows so when uplscaled to 1920 it’s noticeble, rather have a clean clip. I don’t have UHD despecialized as a download but I am sure its in that too. If anyone can cut the clip and PM me (with or without audio doesnt) that would help…thanks in advance

For those interested. below is a very tentative timeline of SW related stuff. I have some Indiana jones and other projects mixed plus personal competing things to focus on this spring, so somewhat of a big gap during summer. But for those that have been asking here is what I am shooting for

ESB V1 8/28/25
ANH V1 9/28/25
scene 38 full breakdown/with sample clips pre-release 10/8/25
ANH V1.5 12/1/2026 (this is a newly added version includes scene 38 + many new additional shots)
ROTJ full shot list 1st release 11/5/25
ROTJ V1 5/4/26
ESB V2 5/21/26 - 46 year anniversary
ANH V2 5/25/2026 - 49 year anniversary

Thanks for the feedback. There is some added haze or colorization, but maybe I can look at that on pass 2 (version 2).I probably would not add tracking HUD graphics tot he Binocs as trying to keep it more 1977 style, simple HUD etc. But interesting idea. Thanks again for your feedback

I did not mean anything too fancy, basically something that draws your eyes to the action immediately. Either way, it is your edit of course and I totally understand your vision to keep it visually close to the original movie.

(Coincidently I found the exact same image online you used for the SD).

Keep up the great work! Will be looking out for the final version of this.

Hey this is really good. If I swap it out I may also want to do it with the Bantha’s in the other scene (for consistency)…I’ll play around with it…thx for sharing

Update

V.3 almost done (first 53 minutes)
Just need to do the 5.1 proper mix for the stereo deleted scenes and a few more adywan upscale FX composites
…still on track but will need the next 2 days to wrap up.
Also, I updated the link to latest shot list in the first post of this tread

Looking forward to this. Seeing the movie with the Biggs scenes added back (+maybe og cantina scene) in is the main point of interest for me and I can kind of take or leave the SC38 stuff at this point.

If anyone is interested in ANH-X before September a special ANH V.3 version is ready and avail.

This version is basically V1 From the start up to end of fight in the cantina first – 1st 53 min

added a V1.5 too my list of planned versions, which will have more scenes. This will be EOY if wanting to just wait for it then – and have a longer version.
