I also just watched the maximalist version of AotC, and, I think it’s excellent. I have never liked most prequel edits because I always thought they cut too much (with very few exceptions), but this one strikes a very good balance; and all the little trims in the dialogue made the script feel surprisingly mature and on the spot. Cutting more of Dooku scenes also made him a more mysterious antagonist, I always thought he had too little screen time but his presence worked really well here.
The only thing I would change is trim a little of Yoda’s screams during the lightsaber duel. But it is overall a fantastic version.
