Kleya & Vel spinoff when?!

I’d watch that.

A Dedra and Syril sitcom - based in their Coruscanti apartment, too. 😃

Mocata’s intriguing idea for Jynn and Saw series!

An ‘Adventures of Young Kleya and Luthen’ series as well, surely.

Uncle Harlow sitcom (we’ll never see him)

The building of Death Star II (something that Star Wars content has stayed / veered away from)

Or a whole sensual series on this…

Hard to imagine before Andor that this character, with merely ~60 seconds of screen-time in Return Of The Jedi, will be in 40+ years time… considered one of the most well-written and most important characters in all of Star Wars…

With additional shout-outs to our new Rebel heroes introduced in this gripping masterpiece of storytelling and world-building…

Nemik, Cinta, Vel, Taramyn, Gorn, Brasso, Maarva, Clem, B2, Bix, Wilmon, the Time Grappler, Ferrix, the Dhani, Anto Kreegyr and his 30 men, the many divergent Rebel cells mentioned in Saw Gerrara’s ‘clarity of purpose’ speech, Thela, the Ghorm, Kino & the Narkina 5 crew, Freedi & Dewi, Niya, Kellen, Erskin (LA-form), the Force Healer, and of course… Lonni, Kleya, and Luthen.

^ Not forgetting everyone has their own Rebellion… and even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward…

^ give these two their own show! 😉

About time we had a watering plants / botany-based Star Wars series, as well…

^ spoilers for S02E12…

and later Cassian watering his many plants in his home shortly before he leaves for Kafrene - probably thinking about Maarva and Bix…

Spoiler for Cassian’s gun in Andor and Rogue One…

Re-watching Rogue One - after viewing Andor

Other Rogue One content that felt / hit different (or were more impactful) to me after watching Andor…

Cassian even hearing the name ‘Erso’ in Rogue One; that reaction… wow!

The Rings of Kafrene scene where Cassian shoots his asset, Tivik. I love the way Andor re-contextualises that. Also, the scene in Andor S2E07 where the Force Healer fixes Andor’s shoulder… that Cassian likely wouldn’t have been able to “climb”™ out of the corner he was in with Tivik in Rogue One without that (Tivik, with his broken arm certainly couldn’t)… all those small touches leading to and affecting later developments. Beautifully crafted. As well as mirroring Luthen and Lonni.

Every time Andor pushes back against Jyn in Rogue One feels much different now. He wasn’t being a cynic, sceptic or dismissive… he was desperate for proof the Rebel Council would actually accept… (it is now much more layered)… to give meaning and validation to Luthen’s sacrifice and Kleya’s efforts; “I’m not the one you’ve got to convince”… to persuade the Rebel Council sceptics we’ve already encountered in Andor.

When Cassian on Jedha says: “this town is ready to blow”… he’s seen Ferrix, Ghorman and likely other places erupt into that powder keg of violence… and now has that same all-too familiar feeling for Jedha.

Cassian also ignoring a number of General Draven’s orders in Andor… now resonates well into Rogue One!

^ More, though spoilers for Andor S02E10-12…

Tarkin admonishing Krennic for recent security leaks… the’re now not just talking about Bodhi Rook… it is Luthen as well. Lonni, too. Mothma’s escape from the the actual Imperial Senate. Gorst being assassinated and his work lost as well. The bungled Imperial raid at Luthen’s shop… Luthen being killed whilst being in Imperial custody. Partagaz’s self-resignation (someone he was on first-name terms with, seemingly respected, and possibly considered a friend); Krennic was having a fairly bad and disruptive week - right to lead up of Rogue One. Then Tarkin taking the Death Star project from Krennic seems a much less ‘power grab’ move now, too.

As well as content like this…

and later this…

(where a number of Rebel soldiers, spies, saboteurs, assassins… volunteer to go with Jyn, Bodhi, Baze, and Chirrut on Jyn’s mission to capture the Death Star plans on Scarif)

^ and then Cassian & Jyn in imperial uniform, along with K2, walking straight into the Imperial facility on Scarif - a nice touch.

The Rebel Fleet deciding to go join the fight at Scarif… after two seasons of Andor showing us all the divisions, the infighting, the secrecy and risks behind this move… this moment feels much more earned. Much of what we saw led to this…

Losing K2, Melshi, the Rebel soldiers based at Yavin who volunteered… then Blue Squadron, and the Rebel reinforcements…

The whole last third of Rogue One - well, yeah… that now also hits much harder. 😢

The mirroring of the “Who are you?!” scenes…

Plus those iconic last moments in Rogue One (before the Vader & Tantive IV scenes)

“Your father would have been proud of you, Jyn.”

That certainly carries a lot more weight and meaning after Andor - on many levels.

Although, Andor - as a series - works just as well on its own, too…

“More than anything, I wanted to end on hope.

I really want to be hopeful at the end of it. It is not just a way of creating another character for Disney and Lucasfilm.

It’s really much more about finishing on an up note and finishing with something that I think all the people who made the show really want to express, which is that in the end, we really do want to be hopeful.”

^ Tony Gilroy on the final shot in Andor (from this EW article) - and a 10 minute ScreenRant video - both contain massive spoilers.

Spoiler for the very last shot of Andor (S2xE12)

And for the Star Wars Saga itself - from a certain point of view…

As poorly as it was told… The Republic and the Jedi fell because one man couldn’t let go of the woman he loved.

We now know that the Rebellion will ultimately win because one woman is able to let go of the man she loves.

“You don’t have to know anything about Star Wars to watch our show at all. The show is designed to that purpose.” - Tony Gilroy.

^ although with the 2 seasons of Andor & Rogue One, we finally now have a fitting and worthy ‘Prequel Trilogy’ for the Original Trilogy.
