I understand these restrictions are an inconvenience, but they’re in place for valid reasons—mostly spam prevention.
You also might consider signing up just to PM project owners and ask for links isn’t in the spirit of the community.
The restrictions are all sensible and justified (and welcome in the case of spam prevention) but I’m currently looking at my 9-day old account that still cannot access the PM that was sent to me last week (clicking on it brings me to a “FORBIDDEN” screen). Is there something else that needs to be checked off before that can happen? Clearly the 7-day unlock isn’t working correctly. I log-in manually daily so logout/login also doesn’t solve it. On my profile it still says I’m in the “new members” group so I guess users don’t currently migrate out of that group after 7 days automatically?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
