I definitely didn’t expect Luthen to be cut out of the chain of command, but it makes sense. He wants to stay on Coruscant, doing his thing. I find it very hard to predict what’s left to do in this show, other than his death. It was nice that they wrote Bix out of Cassian’s life without killing her too.

So I guess what’s left is

Luthen’s death. Maybe Kleya’s too, but not necessarily.

Dedra’s death? Some other resolution? Probably death. I expect these last two events to be tied together

Dedra learning what the kalkite is really for

Cassian & K2-SO4 working together seems like a good idea, just for showing their friendship more
