Just in case this post turns into the Film Nerd Outrage Magnet that my Reddit post on this edit has become, let me be clear:

I love Pulp Fiction. It is one of the great movies. I am not trying to ‘improve’ it or ‘ruin’ it for anyone. The original will still exist despite another version of it existing that is 9 minutes shorter.
This is for 18 year old ESL students who aren’t going to fully appreciate long-winded conversations about the merits of female pot bellies or Mongoloid impressions.
This is a film that requires a lot of its audience. I want to expose my students to this film classic without some of them checking out because they’re bored.
