I’ve been watching this projects progression for a while now. I would really like to view the current versions of these films that Dwalin has been working to properly restore.

I reached out to Dwalin in a private message a month ago, but have not received a response so far.
I’m wondering if there is a better way to contact him or if I just need to try again/be patient. Alternatively, is it possible to receive a link from someone within this thread?

Hey I’d be very appreciative if someone gave me the link in PM. I own the original media, and I really want a Blu-ray quality copy of FOTR with the original untarnished DVD colors. Thanks. Also, if Dwalin hasn’t been online, could anyone else on the thread send me the link?

So from what I’ve gathered, it seems that both Dwalin and 44rh1n have not been active on the forums for the past year and a half or so. Does anyone know why this is the case, and does anyone have the link that they can PM to me. I own multiple copies of source material Blu-ray EE. Just a huge lotr fan here who would be so appreciative to anyone who can help me out and send me the link. Thanks so much.

Every official Bluray/4k release had various flaws. I understand corporations have protocols, but I over all also praise skilled fans for bringing full glory back to these movies without constraints/boundaries (costs and deadlines to handle). Thank you!

I hope nothing’s happened to Dwalin. As much I’d like to see Dwalin’s editions of the trilogy, it’s more important Dwalin looks after themselves. Hey Dwalin, if you can read this, please just reply to let us know you’re alright if nothing else. It’d be a shame for the community to lose a talented restorationist like you. (but yes I’d also like dload links).

Dwalin last logged into the forum a few days ago so they are at least still around to some degree.

I’d appreciate a link to this project as well. I see it’s a bit of a faux pas to just post in the thread asking for a link, but I have PM’d Dwalin and haven’t had a reply despite the recent login so I’m hoping someone else will have the link while Dwalin is unable to respond to everyone.

Apologies for posting again (after a long wait). I know the space is full of requests.

I’ve been keen for many months to see if I could get a copy of extended edition remasters (by any of the amazing people working on them).

I have receipts I can show for digital purchases of the UHD versions. And I’m happy to go through any other hoops required.

I messaged both Dwalin and 44rh1n in June of 2024, but never heard back from either of them, so I posted here. One (different) user linked me to Dr. Dre’s version of Fellowship.

I was wondering if someone would have link to the extended editions?

I’m hoping to do a LOTR marathon with a couple of friends soon and would really love to do it with good colours! (Especially since one of the friends has never seen the films)

What an extraordinary project. It’s genuinely humbling to see the colossal amount of work Dwalin has undertaken —essentially doing what Warner/New Line should have delivered in the first place. How inspiring!

I know that Dwalin is no longer active here, but I’m super psyched to watch the movies without their atrocious extended edition colour grading. Anyone can help me with a link?
