But that's the kicker of the whole "Timeline" theory: there's no such thing as a paradox. Because time doesn't flow linearly, like a river. Each of the parallel universes is independent of the others. So you can go and mess with the past all you want, but the present that you came from will still exist, but so will the one resulting from whatever you did in the past, and so will lots of others that are slightly varied. The trick is to find the right one.
