I really wish I could donate, but I was warned by my family and friends about donating to things like this, because they think I’m being scammed.
You could be.
Saying Adywan might be a scammer is pretty disrespectful. Unless that’s not what you meant, it’s a seriously off-base thing to say. He’s been taking donations for over 15 years and has always followed through on what he promised. If that’s not enough to earn a bit of trust, you’re gonna have a tough time trusting anyone.
Wait, I’m confused. Isn’t the whole point of this drive so that Adywan can get enough money from other people for supplies? Why would he use his own money to double the donation of others when he’ll already be using his own money later? Why not keep it and use it on top of all the donation money?
I’m not Adywan. Donations have stalled. I am willing to donate $1,000 to Adywan if others pitch in now and reach that limit.

Same goes for you—I find your posts on this thread really odd. From worrying about Adywan’s health affecting Revisited (not his health itself), to sharing every random thought you have. If you don’t want to donate, that’s totally fine. But don’t clog the thread with your family’s suspicions about Adywan being a scammer. Unless you’re 12, I don’t get why you’d need your family and friends’ opinion over a few-dollar donation.
You’re really reminding me of Editroid’s posts on this thread from while back; Strange and unnecessary.
Also, Glenwood isn’t Adywan. Are you blind? If he were, it would say “adywan”.Please don’t call Adywan a scammer when he’s not. Especially in public on his own thread.
Don’t take it the wrong way. I didn’t say I was calling him a scammer myself. I don’t believe that.
“I was warned by my family and friends about donating to things like this, because they think I’m being scammed.”
The fact that you shared this, when you really didn’t need to, makes it come off as a statement in itself. Especially since you took their advice and chose not to donate, which basically means you believe them.
EDIT: Nice edit you made there… You should’ve apologised instead of deflecting. Also, if you don’t believe that, why did it stop you from donating?? your acting upon a presupposition you don’t believe? Either way, we should change the subject.
