I decided to get back to finishing off my covers. Eventually all 6 movies will be of the same design, I've yet to figure out what kind of art I want for the box set, and for that matter the image on the back of AOTC, but here's ANH for what i'm calling my "collectors edition"...I still need to tweek the spine, but otherwise it's finished.

hey Lehrbach i was thinking that this poster here might be just a little better the style classic Style A. poster
the only problem is that its in japanese , neither is it high res ,
and no to mention that death star heat ray laser is fliped
otherwise else it would be perfect for a dvd cover.

I THINK THAT WE NEED TO START SEEING SOMETHING DIFFERENT WITH THE CUSTOM SW DVD COVERS. EVERYBODY'S USING THE POSTERS. HOW ABOUT USING SOME OF THE "LIVE ACTION" FROM THE MOVIES LIKE MOST OTHER MOVIE DVD RELEASES ???

the posters are classic, imho.. but there are MULTITUDES of other posters out there. only problem is finding them in hires. i own a book of sw posters that are out of this world. amazing what the options are out there.

lack of Hi-Res posters are one of the main reasons i'm sure alot of people find it hard to make more covers, I'll have to find the poster book ricardo mentioned.

I wasn't really trying to do anything unusual with these covers i'm making, Classic and basic are what appeals to me, I'm happy just having the theatrical poster for the front, and a picture on the back that symbolizes the title of the move, I wasn't trying to be unique, just making it for myself to replace the current DVD covers, which I started making last year, and just now have gotten back to finishing.

By now i'm sure they look "generic" to most, but I just thought i'd share what I was doing anyway.

I love your design. I have been looking for a sharp and clean DVD cover with the original poster art. Yours seems to have one of the cleanest most professional look compared to some of the other poster covers. I look forward to seeing them all finished and being one of the first to download them.
