The best Star Wars movie novel happens to be Attack of the Clones. Man, that book is good. Really, really good. I felt so bad for Anakin, it was amazing. The movie isn't even HALF as good as the book. And that is really sad.

You should go read both AOTC and ROTS. They are both fine books.
