That’s the idea. For my money what went wrong with the romance in Attack of the Clones, is that George simply got the mix wrong. Anakin is primarily a combo of these two sources:

All I did in my recut of AotC is turn Anakin’s dial from 65-35 Dean/Flynn to 90-10. If Anakin is Romantic, Confident, and Suave in a classic action sense, Padme’s attraction makes as much sense as Olivia de Haviland’s forbidden love for Robin. . . George was soooo close to nailing it. It honestly drives me nuts! HE WAS SOOOO CLOSE!!!
