Has anyone done transfers of the ced's? Obviously the first two ced releases of star wars and empire strikes back are one ced disc so they were stretched to fit the time limit so they are inferior to the standard play lasers unless you are a completist.
That being said I wish you luck in all your endeavors. I still would like to see transfers of the 8mm digest versions of the trilogy and the full and widescreen 8mm features, the beta releases, the ced releases the 16mm and 35mm theater prints. None of the 75mm release prints exist too bad because they are the ultimate collector's item to do a transfer from.
I just got my japan definitive collection boxset in the mail, Has anyone ever done a transfer of this one besides the fact of the annoying japanese subtitles which cannot be removed?
I purchased it because someone who collects laserdiscs told me the quality was better than the american release.
so I have that opened but unused, and the executor u.k. set opened but unused. Now I just need the equipment and nowhow on how to make my own legal backups.
As far as I know, there are no transfers of the CED discs. The assumption is that Jedi is the full 132 minutes which is confirmed here. I hope that the equipment to do your own transfers comes your way soon enough.......
The answer to your PM is YES. Send another with a valid e-mail address.
Don't be so sure. We're working on that project right now.

Isn't that with the earlier Special Collection?? I suppose that the principle of removing the subtitles will be the same........
Anyhow, a "heads up" if anyone is up for it, is an ebay auction for both Ewok movies on LaserDisc.
Doing something with these titles is not something that interests me but someone else may fancy a go........
