I live in Alabama. We got nada.

Well, we are getting light drizzles of rain from time to time, but that doesn't really count.

Upstate SC here. We got ice, and of course it makes the trees break and fall on power lines, houses, cars, etc. I heard a big-ass KABOOM!!! signaling the explosive death of a transformer about 3:30 am, and we've been without electricity since. I'm only on here now because I've got power and Internet at work.

We have freezing rain at the moment. It is going to be difficult to drive to work tomorrow.

You run on that nukular power don't you? When the lights go out and you hear a kaboom, does it make you pray?

If it's like it was last night, a short thumpy kaboom followed by darkness, then I run outside looking for the magnesium fire. They're pretty.

Now, if it were sudden darkness followed by a big bright blur and a long rumbly kaboom, that'd be a good time to duck and cover. Wait, that's for lava. Dammit!

Down (up?) here in Tennessee we're getting pretty much nothing but clouds rain, and occasionally sunshine. Snow has fallen but accumulation has been zilch.

It was surprisingly mild up here in Saskatchewan for a while. We were averaging daily highs of about -5C. But a storm came through earlier this week, and dropped about 20 cm of dry snow. We don't get the wet stuff here. We get dry snow, and then the temperature drops. It's -17C right now. But they say it's going to be a rather mild winter this year. Which is great. I remember two years ago when the temperature, with th ewind chill, dropped to a blistering -52C

If you are referring specifically to the most recent storm system (yesterday), Cleveland got rain. It was still cold, but not quite cold enough for snow.
The snow on the ground (from earlier in the week) did begin to melt, which turned into a problem today since it has now gotten cold enough for more snow and for the slush to freeze into ice.

Should I post some pictures of the local sunny weather?
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Sigh, it hasn't snowed here since Christmas aught aught. I remember I was playing The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the first time. Well, I'm playing Majora's Mask again this Christmas, in hopes I'll see some snow for the first time in five years!

Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Nothing ever sticks around here if we get it at all, I think optimistically we'll get some slush in Jan and school will be closed for a day or two.

We haven't had a good snow here since 1998, and we haven't had a great one since 1993.

Yeah. They can keep that kind of weather in Manitoba, where it belongs.
