Adding in Padme and Typho being thrown definitely works better for the reasons you mentioned. I didn’t even notice it was cut originally. 😄 Removing the Palpatine bit to Yoda is a nice call. Makes him come across as being more confident now.
I’m a little torn about the droid factory sequence. The last bit where Anakin slices the robot arm to make the cauldron fall still doesn’t connect for me. I messed around with it some more and am curious what you think of these changes?
• Kept the cut between Anaking slicing geonosian in half and Padme navigating through machinery. This keeps the action going from left to right and fixes the abrupt music change.
• Kept shot of Anakin looking up when Padme is being taken away in cauldron.
• Insert brief shot of cauldron moving along to further sell what Anakin is looking at.
• Insert different shot of Padme looking up in the cauldron.
• Reinsert Anakin force throwing objects at geonosians and added thud sound fx when they get hit.
• Anakin jumps up to higher platform and uses force to unhook the cauldron. Only problem is the same force shot is used twice. Still need to find a fix.

Yeah, I’m with you that the Force move on the Vat lands with way more punch, and I like a lot of the minor tweaks. I don’t worry too much about “abrupt music changes” as long as they aren’t distracting. There are quite a few “abrupt changes” in the Vanilla cut that are waaayyyy more abrupt than mine, lol! But I’ll see if I can clean that exchange up a bit. I think the “Perfect Version” is somewhere halfway between both of ours. . . Imma think about it and do another take.
In the meantime, I’m rendering out the Arena Battle for you to chew on. Stand by.
