Labels Target Lyrics Sites.

When is the RIAA going to wise up and realize they're destroying their own industry.

On a tangent, do you realize how long it takes artists to legitimately license a song? There are so many hoops an artist has to jump through to give a songwriter their fair share, and let's face it, most musicians don't have a head for business. Some do, many don't. Especially the ones that succeed.

So why must the labels and their lawyers make it extra hard for those who want to do things the right way to get paid?

And back on the topic of the article, is it indicative of just how bad things in the recording industry are? Now that they've shut down Napster they have to go after sites who reprint lyrics without permission (or more to the point without paying royalties)? And do they really need to nail people for sharing guitar tab? It seems they actually do not want to inspire musicians to learn their music. It makes it easier to groom talentless crap bands like they've done for the past 8 years.
