Help: looking for... 'The Thief and the Cobbler' in widescreen - the Japanese DVD?

Does anyone have the rare Japanese DVD of The Thief and the Cobbler, in widescreen?

Only a pan & scan version was released in the US, and I don’t want to shell out all the money for the Japanese version if I don’t have to!

I restored this classic, butchered film to its director’s cut status years ago, but in pan&scan format. Would love to redo it digitally, properly.

Also: anyone got the Australian/South African cut, The Princess and the Cobbler (closer to the director’s cut), at all? I have a crappy SLP VHS dupe of it, but I know it’s on pan & scan DVD at the very least.

Infor on how to get the various versions of the film on DVD:

I have the DVD. I also have the extremely rare Thames Television documentary on the making of the movie.

Wow. Please send immediately. I believe I have that Thames documentary, but in very poor quality. "The Thief Who Never Gave Up," yes? I also have "I drew Roger Rabbit," and "Entertaining Art" (about Art Babbitt).

Will do. The 'Thief Who Never Gave Up' is transferred straight from a Thames Promo VHS and the quality is excellent.

I think that one is on the official Roger Rabbit DVD now, isn't it?

Nope. The Roger Rabbit DVD doesn't include any of the old documentaries or specials. Just a newly produced 36 minute documentary and some new featurettes.

I watched a bit of the new Roger Rabbit DVD a bit back. I remember Richard Williams being in the new documentary, acting kind of nervous and weird. Heh.
