How in God's name can you have sit through it that many times?!?

I have seen it 2 and a half times. Once when it originally aired in '78. Then once more on DVD a couple of years ago. I tried again a while back, couldn't make it.

I have seen it half way through and i died a little inside....my friend on the other hand love it...
I loved the commercials though, the violent kids with the wampa toys!

To be completely honest with you? Yes. Yes, I believe I am. Come to think of it, I really can't understand why I am so fascinated with it. I just am, and, as a result, I enjoy watching it.

100 hundred times?!? I'm really wondering how can you do that. I'm a big Star Wars fan, and I've never seen any Star Wars movie a hundred times...

Yes, around 100 times. Just about as many times as I've seen ANH. I enjoy them equally, but for different reasons.

I've seen it twice. There is no way I could ever sit through it 100 times. I'm not going to do the typical "the SWHS is garbage" pitch, because I actually do find it interesting and unique, but I will say that it isn't good a quality program and would never dream of watching it that many times.

Yeah. The most interesting parts are the Boba Fett segment and seeing the original cast members again.

I had to vote NOOOOO, because I couldn't watch the whole thing the last time I tried. I think I gave up when an Imperial officer went shopping, or maybe on the fourth or fifth scene consisting entirely of Wookie-speak. I couldn't get to Boba Fett or Chief Bast (he lives!). Maybe getting a better version of it will help; I'll try again this year.

Well, the first time I've seen it, I've had real difficulties to watch the whole thing too! And more than that, I'm french, I understand written english quite well, but spoken english, without subtitles, is more difficult. So, the wookies are always growling (at some moments, it's really unbearable!), and the few scenes with english (and with pretty bad sound quality), I've had difficulties to understand all...

But I like this show, precisely cause it's so bad and so stupid... A real TV homage!

I've seen SWHS one time and THX-1138. And I immediately saw the connection between the two films. THX-1138 and Itchy watch their porn through the same device.

ive seen it 6 or 7 times in '97when i got the bootleg tape at a convention, but since then ive never felt the need to revisit.

btw i felt like a masochist watching even that many times. still i hope someone remasters it just for nostalgias sake

the first time was painful and just thought what a load of "Beep" and gave up eventually, but i watched it again recently, and there were still parts that were i considered very bad but i could see a certain "charm" in there and saw why people like Adam like it, and got through a whole sitting, though it isnt something i will ever rush back to see or ever see again, least i can say to myself i have sat through the whole Holiday Special without feeling too much pain...

To be completely honest with you, that's kind of how I felt the first time I saw it. It was just such a jarring experience to see something so... different. The first time I saw it, I was a little freaked out by the whole idea. I ended up turning it off by the time the Chef (dare I say that I actually know her full name?) came on the HoloNet with her silly cooking act. It really took me a few viewings before I began to be able to "just sit down and enjoy it."
