Yeah, and that would explain why you can’t see Endor from the throne room.

Luke can see the battle. In the battle sequences the moon is prominent as is the station. The battle is tiny little dots. Even if the tower is on the same side as the dish and close to it the battle would be bigger. The Blast from the weapon would resemble Starkiller base firing in TFA but green. The view would be more interesting.

Alternatively the tower could be nearer the pole of the station. That way Palps wouldn’t get blinded by the dish firing and the moon would be visible the battle would probably be visible too but not linear the view would resemble a cloud of ships. The rebels had to skim the edge of the shield to avoid hitting it and Lando moved the rebel fleet towards the imperials once the station was firing. Luke would see the rebels engaging the fighters in the foreground and star Destroyers in the distance,not a line reading left right on a single plane.
