In TRoS, to foreshadow 3P0’s memory wipe, have the Palpatine clone’s memory only be backed up to around the end of RotS, (just casually trim anything about it being the original Palpatine’s spirit for maximum effect) so the history of the entire Galactic Civil War has to be explained to him in a long-winded, very talky scene that involves a lot of “what?”, “huh?”, and “I can’t hear you over our cool indoor lightning!”
