A couple of lingering questions, which maybe you could work into or work around in the edit:
- What happened to the captain of the Onyx Cinder after he crashed on At-Atan? Maybe he also confronted the Supervisor AI and got killed by it when his true agenda was discovered? Maybe the AI could drop a line that implies this?
Very good point here, and I’m not sure why they didn’t address this in the show. Literally all they had to do is show his skeleton right next to the AI. Would have matched the Treasure Planet references perfectly (and the show’s title, no less!)
I’m assuming that, on descent, Captain Rennod’s crew turned on him, pulling them out of the autopilot and causing them to crash in the forest. We never see Rennod’s skeleton on board (I’m assuming his species has a skeleton that looks different) so we have to assume he escaped the crash site and made his way somewhere.
EDIT: Another thing is that for some reason Rennod decided to pimp out the envoy ship in armor, to the point of being unrecognizable as an envoy’s ship. This is used to explain why the AI doesn’t suspect Jod of anything nefarious, being that it’s technically the same ship that previously showed up and recently left. I guess the previous pirate crew was always going to try the “loud” approach, and immediately start looting everything?
The other interesting thing is that the Empire never goes there. The AI says that the last message he received is the Jedi are traitors to the Republic, and not that the Republic has become the Empire.
