I suppose I was being a little over-the-top last night. That was just my immediate reaction to everything lol. At the end of the day I probably set my expectations a little too high for what is ultimately a kid’s show that is mostly disconnected from the larger Star Wars galaxy. I think the biggest plot hole is that Jod wants to continue current operations as-is, he never wanted to hurt anybody, and yet he allowed his crew to completely decimate the city. It’s a miracle nobody got killed! But I guess you can rationalize it as a show of force to let people know who’s in charge now.
Like you said, Neel’s cannon moment can probably be cut out rather smoothly - but it doesn’t leave him with a whole lot to do in the finale. We also know that KB can contact the New Republic without the owl lady, since an unknown person does it back at the resort. Maybe somebody skilled with VFX can remove her hologram.
As for the title of the show, I agree that “Skeleton Crew” was probably the wrong choice in terms of marketing it, as kids will have no idea what this even means. “The Lost Planet” is a step in the right direction, if a bit bland. “Lost to the Stars” or “Lost to the Galaxy” would apply to both the kids and At-Attin.
