Raiders of the Lost Ark HDTV 35mm LPP regrade — Page 9

Missing scenes — Ok I went and saw this with my family when I was 10 years old in 1981. Because all of us went as a family it was a big deal, this was rare, my Dad heard about the film on NPR. Originally in the film I remember after the submarine intercepts the freighter, and Indy grabs a hold of the conning tower he ties himself to the periscope so he doesn’t get washed off.

I just bought the blu-ray and it wasn’t on there. Did we see a pre-release version of the film? I haven’t checked my laserdiscs yet, but I thought this scene was still on there. It only lasts about 20 seconds.

Anyone? But you’ll notice how abrupt the cut is on the blu-ray and they are at the island lickety split. Lickety split means fast… HA.

Thoughts are appreciated on missing scenes from this and the other Indy films.

Hi, I’m in the works of documenting all the changes that went with every single version of “Raiders of the Lost Ark”. To my surprise, I found changes in almost every version released (VHS, LD, DVD, Blu-ray, UHD Blu-Ray…) Some subtle, some weird, and some very impressive and not documented at all.

Now I realized that I’m missing one important piece of the puzzle: a 35mm source of any kind.

I come across a magnet link which points to I believe is the version is being talked about in this thread:

But after weeks, it did’t even managed to download the metadata.

If anyone have this version, I’m offering to host in my server indefinetely and even giving access to easier uploading. After months searching, this is my last shot, and continuing this project knowing a piece is missing would be harsh.

I agree, but my goal is not to have the best scan. I just need it with enough quality to compare shot by shot agains the rest of the versions.
