As for how they get back on the ship (and why it suddenly looks new again) that might be harder to convey. But it might be possible with more AI lines and depending on how all of this is handled in Episode 7.

One more radical idea you might consider is having them land outside of the chutes in the wide shot (just change the lighting) but then zoom in to the scene where they reunite at the end of this episode. The context of both scenes is mostly the same, having just endured a huge fall. And replace some of their lines as they’re hugging and checking on each other to make it seem like the resort dropped their ship down below to scrap it.
