The Anakin/Jar Jar stuff is to taste, and most edits do remove a lot more of them than I did. I personally feel that too much of them is cut out in most edits, which makes everything feel disjointed. I’d rather have a few silly moments that make the whole better.

Specific moments for me are when Jar Jar gets the battle droid wires stuck on his foot then miraculously takes out 3 battle droids at 1:37:20 or so. Ugh…cringe… Or Anakin’s “woah” at 1:44:30 or so. Just minor things.

Also, your idea of the force battle with Dooku/Yoda is actually what a lot of other edits do, famously HAL9000’s. So a version like that does exist. Not sure about the senate fight. I don’t feel that we should cut away from the Anakin/Obi-Wan fight as it’s much more consequential. The Palpatine fight is cool but doesn’t really add anything.

I’ll check out Hal’s too. I think Yoda DOES have to fight Dooku and Sidious. With Dooku he is saving Obi-Wan and Anakin. It also doesn’t make sense to me that Yoda and Obi-Wan would want to take out Anakin but not Sidious? I also find the Yoda vs Palpatine fight to be very symbolic. They are fighting in the senate chamber essentially fighting for the Republic. And this somewhat explains why a powerful jedi like Yoda would go into hiding. I don’t think the theatrical version does that enough but you get the jist of it at least. Ie…that Sidious is basically as powerful as Yoda but has thousands of clone troopers at his disposal as well.

My duel is pretty close to HAL’s but I cut a bit more than he did, while keeping some stuff he cut.

EDIT: Just watched Hal’s Anakin vs Obi-Wan duel - it is also great! I also like how Hal handled Yoda vs Dooku if you’re in the camp that doesn’t want Yoda jumping around all crazy.
