Here's a quote I found on IGN, reviewing the new DVD set coming out:

"The only possible way a smaller collection might prove a valuable investment is if Lucas loosed his stranglehold on the true "original" films (sans CGI enhancements, etc.) and issued them in a succinct sister set to last year's deluxe Trilogy DVDs."
