Batman Begins

That was the only good one this year for me.
I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an Obi-Wan to go.

Red heads ROCK. Blondes do not rock. Nuff said.

Now, this might sound weird, but there are only 3 movies I've seen that were made in 2005: ROTS, Batman Begins and War of the Worlds. All of them were bad. I almost don't watch movies or TV anymore.

All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. I'm restricting myself to a list of 5. It was a weak year @ the movies.

1. Batman Begins
2. Wallace & Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit
3. Sin City
4. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
5. (reserved for King Kong or The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe, whichever is better).

Princess Leia: I happen to like nice men.
Han Solo: I'm a nice man.

Crash was awesome. Loved it.

Also would have to include Batman Begins and Sith on there. I really didn't see too many movies this year compared to years past.

unfortunately the only movies to come out this year that I found were remotely interesting and watchable were revenge of the sith and batman begins. Will not know what to think about the rest until they are released on dvd because I go to the theater rarely these days and find it a general hassle. The dvd format has overshadowed the theater format the dollars and numbers show this mainly price and convenience are key, as well as a lack of good fun, or intresting movies to watch. Hollywood blames it on internet piracy.

Well, in no particular order:

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (except for this one, it's the best I've seen all year by far)
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Wallace and Gromit
Revenge of the Sith (eh, I enjoyed it enough that it made it into my top four)

Has anyone seen "Good night and good luck"? That sounded like a good film. I wanted to see it, but it was released in a VERY limited release here (one movie screen, for a single night). From what I've read, expect this one to be at the academy awards.

I really wanted to see it, but the closest it plays to me is an hour away at 4:05 P.M. I can't ever make it there because of school.

Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Wallace and Grommit would probably be on this list if I had seen it.

While Batman Begins was perfect in every way, I'm pinning my hopes on Munich for my favorite of the year.

I haven't been too happy with Spielberg's work over the past few years, so I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I notice alot of people are looking forward to the lion the witch and the wardrobe. As a fan of the books, the movie to me looks like a Lord of the rings knock off, only not as good.

War does not make one great.

The Tomatoemeter is at 77%, so I suppose Narnia isn't all bad.

Now they need to make a new one called "The Chronicles of Narnia: Escape from Butcher Bay"

Actually, my gf and I watched the old (late 80s) BBC Narnia series on DVD...well, only LWW so far...just to remember the times when we were younger and watched it on PBS.

Man, the acting wasn't so good...they used cartoons for special effects...the costumes were so-so...Aslan's puppet/costume was nice looking, though. Even by today's standards.

Anyway, my point is...it would take a lot to screw this book up in movie format. It's a great book and even though the BBC series was cheese, we still thought it portrayed the book decently enough.

I always liked those old ones. Then again, I haven't seen them since elementary school.
