Hey, I haven’t checked in on the forum in a while so I’m very behind on what TROS edits have been doing recently, but that mission briefing clip you just shared is really promising. It’s been literal years since I watched the movie so I’m not 100% on everything you changed, but Poe’s dialogue is seamless, and the scene totally works without any mention of Palpatine. Having C3PO continue to speak while Rey rummages for the book is inspired also (while he’s off-screen it sounds good to me, but when it cuts back to him my brain was expecting him to get a bit louder/clearer again).

TROS truly is the final boss of fanediting but between the good ideas generated on this forum over the last few years, and the onward march of better AI tools, I’m beginning to be able to imagine a future where there’s a much more palettable version of this movie that can slot fairly harmlessly into a rewatch between TLJ and NJO, if the latter movie turns out well. Have some general moral support! I would record some Kijimi voice lines but I think I’d sound insane shouting into a microphone at midnight.
