I really enjoyed your 210min cut, it cuts out so much unnecessarily filler, and tries to rectify some lore issues like the creation of mithril. That being said there are moments I really enjoyed in the original that I was sad to loose, like Arondir’s attempted escape scene for example. I have no clue how to make an edit like this (for example are you able to separate the audio track, and can you separate the voices and sound affects from the music, I imagine not?) but I found myself wanting to linger on one story line longer without so many short cuts between story lines. I found this made it harder for me to invest in any one story or develop any emotional connection with the characters. It has been a while since I watched the series so maybe there was no emotional connection to begin with! I also wondered if you could just entirely cut out the Harfoot plot? I do actually kind of like that story but I wonder if all of it could just be cut into its own mini movie/episode? I would love a link to your new even further cut down movie.
