There are two different cuts of The Shining available on DVD, I've only ever seen the apparently 'Kubrick approved' version which has been shown numerous times on UK tv whilst there's a longer cut available from the US, my brother bought this DVD and has subsequently lost it

which is annoying because I haven't seen it yet.
