When the 1933 Kong DVD was announced earlier this year, the 1976 Kong was rumored to be getting a special edition release as well. And yet when it came out it was just a barebones re-release with nothing but the trailer, same as the first DVD release. Only difference I'm aware of is the new DVD cover. I was disappointed that it didn't get a better release this time, at least with the extra scenes from the TV cut. What a waste...
