Thought this might be useful for preservation projects . The clips at the beginning appear to be from the original making of Star Wars special , but the color grading looks different to me except for the snippet of the droids storytelling bit that was in that special . This promotional tape was never aired , but was recorded on September of 1980 , years before Star Wars hit VHS or subscription television ( my first time seeing the movie was in September of 1982 when it debuted on a subscription pay tv service in the U.S. called ON-TV )

" Here’s an interesting promotional tape for the MAAST (Multiple Audio Addressable Secure Television) system by Telease. This was meant for pay-TV channels for cable and satellite television in the U.S. and around the world.

We start off with a look of the push-button app of MAAST, juxtaposed with clips of the first “Star Wars” movie, switching between English and other languages. "
