Kazaa Lite, if you can find it. It is free of all viruses, spyware, etc.

I'm a torrenter myself. But most of my music downloads are legal through and through. iTunes is good for that.

I get music the old fashioned way. I Google it. I also found that a site called alltheweb.com that has a special audio search.

No P2P sharing for me.

I typically only download songs I already own on CD or a DVD, or obscure/unknown bands whose CDs aren't typically sold in America. But when I do, I normally use Limewire.

try soulseek (slsk.org)
the best p2p for music, especially real rare stuff including vinyl rips etc. the quality is all usually at least 192kbps for mp3. although not the best for videos.
far better than morpheus and kazza lite.

If I have to download, I use limewire. Most of the time, I buy the CD and rip.

do not use kazza lite...
contrary to popular belief that thing has more virus' than Tara Reid..

limewire is what i use, its amazing.
I've also heard good things about soulseek.

I use bittorrents for my music IF I download it, but it's usually for rare, hard-to-find stuff. For instance, I downloaded Metallica's very first bootleg tape "No Life Til Leather", as well as Pantera's first four "hair metal" albums. It's not my fault that other songs just happened to come with them.
