Kennedy and Lucas have known each other for years, and I believe are friends.
I’m sure there’s enough loyalty there that she’ll respect his wishes in regards to releasing the original films.
Disney could order her to do it, but I imagine they’re completely indifferent about the whole thing. They only really care about new “content”.
So, yeah, I fully believe that Kennedy is the one standing in the way, at this point.
