Just to announce it: we found a new title for our forthcoming MAN ON FIRE edition: CREASY.

CREASY will be approximatley 50 minutes short to the original, focus on the main character, include a few deleted scenes (especially the alternate ending) and will be a straightforward revenge movie featuring an incredible well acting Denzel Washington.

news update:

Creasy is 40 minutes short to the original (1h42m) and is all about the Denzel Washington character John W. Creasy, bodyguard and former military assassin. There is no scene in the entire movie, where Creasy is not present. This change causes the plot to be somewhat different, much more a personal fate than a movie switching between kidnappings in Mexico and just one kidnapping of one particular girl. The personal note adds a lot more sympathy and understanding for the main character as well as thrill and action moments that now seem less artificial. We included the alternate ending and one other deleted scene and we changed one major thing... that should not be spoiled yet, but was the reason we made this edition at all. The DVD of Creasy will be ready for you to download in a few days, maybe a week (yet to be done is: sound, subtitles, trailer, DVD menus, deleted scenes, DVD cover). Piece of cake ;-)

Our new edition is going really well, movie with sound and subtitles is done and looks good. The trailer is also finsihed and will be posted within the next few days. Does anyone know a place where I can store 20mb for people to download from? This would be much mire efficient than posting t as torrent, because people are not seeding trailers for a long time.

the trailer is up. Take a look.

TRAILER

additional info: creating a trailer is always tough work. One of the main questions on how to do it, is always if we should make a trailer about the difference to the original movie or a trailer about the edition we made. With the exception of deZIONized and KIRKLESS GENERATIONS all CBB trailers were about the new edition and not about the difference. And this time it is again about the edition itself. Why? Because "Man on fie" did really not need need to be differed from... it needed to be redone ;-)

The DVD will probably be up tomorrow on demonoid and piratebay.

The CBB cover artist was experimenting...

well, DAYV, this one must suffice. It's a group decision so far and they agreed to this one, so we all do have to live with it until there is another one by someone else. Personally I like this a lot and I think it fits the movie really well. ...and it is always good to have several DVD covers to choose from.

Knolly: the alternate ending is the one, where CREASY doesn't die in the car, but approaches LA VOZ and sets off a bomb, killing them both. It reminded me a bit of LEON THE PROFESSIONAL.

I like that cover, I'd say it's my favorite CBB cover design that you guys have done so far. And I actually can't wait to see this one. I wanted to see Man on Fire in the cinemas but I was never able to.

Without this website the new DVD cover would have never ever looked that way. I welcome the influence, but you can bet, it gave me a hard time, when KLOKWERK started with the new DVD covers and I was the one explain that nothing and no one will be replaced and things like that. I love being part of a group, just because it means shared responsibility, but sometimes... (I just love being in a group ;-), because writing anything else is going to be dangerous). The main difference between this cover art and the ones before is the much higher picture quality (which you will see, when you download the DVD) and the amount of time it took our artist to finish it. She was modelling on 3 different possibilites and it took her an eternity to decide and re-arrange and of course handle criticism. But since the output is pretty cool, I think it was worth the effort.
