1) If you've only seen this version, is it a genuinely good and inspiring movie?
- I did want to watch the film as having grandparents that served in WWII and an adopted grandpa that served at Pearl Harbor but sadly the “romance” story line and cast left a bunch to be desired so it was relegated to nothing more then a TiVo suggestion.
Now having seen your edit of the film twice now with my brother he started to point out what was cut, I cannot imagine seeing the unedited version! (and I’ll be giving a copy to Grandpa Walter IF I make it to Denver this weekend!)

- From what I can tell yes it’s an improvement of a not so good film.
