    • cut shot of the Ghost and Landcaster flying for to better merge the two space battle scenes
    • cut shot of Ketsu flying with the ghost in the background to better merge the two space battle scenes
    • cut “really, so you didn’t leave the Ghost to go after that leg?” to speed up Chopper and Hera’s fight.
    • cut the AP5 and chopper stuff here (I’d like to be more exact on how but it was very difficult to document what I was doing while I was doing it, but it involved using a lot of shots from the two different episodes, changing dialogue and small cuts)
    • reluctantly cut Kanan and Ezra saber training as it breaks the flow of the start completely. I set up in the previous episode intro text that Ezra’s saber skill is getting better and, in this episode, Hera verbally mentions training has increased so it works.

isn’t there another episode of the season that could benefit from this training bit?

Unfortunately I don’t think there is.

It needs to happen after episode 4 and before episode 12 of the season to make sense.

For 5, were looking into Ezra’s family and don’t have the crew for most the episode. Maybe it could fit in the start but it doesn’t fit the theme of the episode.

For 6, we’re on a Kanan and Sabine episode.

For 7, we’re on a desperate mission for fuel so they’re is no time for a training break.

For 8, we’ve got an episode for Hera and her family so it doesn’t blend well.

For 9, we’ve got the Zeb and Kallus episode.

For 10, we’re in the Jedi temple and get the original motivation for Kanan to be training Ezra. If it was to fit here it’d have to close the episode which could feel a touch odd.

And finally we’re at 11, where it just breaks the flow of the whole episode if included.

So as much as I think the scene is great, I have setup Ezra’s combat advancements through introduction texts (not ideal but it’s not like it’s missing) and Hera does mention in ep 11 that Kanan has increased Ezra’s training a lot.

The 2 episodes I potentially could include it are 10 and 5. But I’m open to ideas and suggestions! 😄

Now that I’ve finished season 2 again, my plan is to apply the 5.1 left leaning audio fix to an older V4 episode as well as adding chapters, both title card options and English Subtitles to their metadata. Then, move on to polish a V3 episode to the V4 standard. That way I’ll be fixing up content I haven’t touched in a while and polishing the series as I go!

So my next episode to rerelease is S01E01 and once that’s out I’ll move onto S03E01.

I’m also adding a Telegram link to the edit (which has been requested). You’ll be able to find the link on the spreadsheet I’ve been sending out. If you don’t have the link to the spreadsheet, I’ve added a .txt file to Google, Mega and TeraBox with the link inside it.

  • cut Sabine sighing while opening the door

  • cut Sabine and Ezra undermining Ezra’s choices
  • cut most of the elevator scene
  • cut “Oh I’m keeping it” in regard to Sabines blaster
  • cut “is that really Ezra?” “most of the time”, we get it show, Ezra has grown up a bit, let us just see that uninterrupted.
  • cut Hondo and Zeb asking what Jump means. Like… come on, you know what Jump means.
  • cut Ezra having a tantrum in his room, we can see he’s upset. Lines have been removed by rescoring and adding back in door closing sfx.
  • Flipped a shot of Hondo talking to make his arm movements line up from next cut

It sounds amazing to my ears! And that transition is pretty spot on. You’ve done great work

I think I’ll be cutting my Pirates of the Storm episode entirely as plot wise it’s not needed. In terms of season flow (the main thing keeping this episode in the season), I think it’ll be fine if I follow the below outline. Essentially The Syndulla Kalikori episode takes the episode slot of Pirates of the Storm. Consequently, this means I don’t have to remove Sabine from the episode like I needed to with its previous placement.

S03E01 - Into Shadow (introduce Thrawn) - 40 min ep
S03E02 - Imperial Supercommandos (continue Mandolorian plot) - 20 min ep
S03E03 - Maul (finish Maul’s storyline setup in S02E12) - 60 min ep
S03E04 - The Syndulla Kalikori (continue Thrawn’s presence) - 20 min ep
S03E05 - The Darksaber of Mandalore (continue Mandalorian plot) - 40min ep
S03E06 - Fulcrum (continue Thrawn line) - 40min ep
S03E07 - Zero Hour (continue thrawn line) - 40min ep

I think having 20 minute episodes surrounding the 60 minute Maul episode will flow nicer for viewing experience. It also means S03E04 is the middle point for runtime and middle episode of the season, which feels right to me.

If anyone has any more ideas or another episode I should reinstate I’d love to hear it 😃

RELEASED S03E02 - Imperial Supercommandos V4

Downloads

  • 1080p version: available
  • 1080p recolor: available
  • 4K recolor: available
  • Subtitles: available

Changes from V3

  • For all downloads 5.1 Surround sound added

  • Updated intro helmet sequence
  • Updated look to introduction text
    • Centred Text
    • Decreased size of Text
  • Rewrote introduction text
  • Replaced old intro with new one
  • Added episode title card
  • recut everything in this episode from scratch again to avoid any previous audio mistakes.
  • cut Rau recapping the last episode he was in “you have imprisoned me”, ect.
  • cut Rau saying his only true allegiance is to Mandalore. This was covered in the intro text and the later dialogue also conveys this same exposition but better.
  • cut Ezra being awkward with Rau in the Phantom 2
  • cut Rebels Logo
  • added wipe to signify time jump (to replace the time jump from the Rebels Logo)
  • cut Ezra saying “why would Mandalorians fight other Mandalorians?”, you’ve been around a Mando for 3 season now Ezra! You should know why.
  • cut “what are those flying stormtroopers?” and Rau’s explanation. Gar Saxon explains he’s Mandalorian later on and this line gives me THEY FLY NOW vibes.
  • cut fade to black
  • fixed all shots of Rau bare fist punching the Mando in the Phantom 2 in the helmet
    • the first shot I’ve kept the SFX but removed the Mando’s reaction, so Rau still punches but it doesn’t do anything.
    • the second shot is cut entirely. It’s too unbelievable that a bare fist punch would knockout a Mando in a helmet even if its from another Mandalorian.
  • cut “Oh he’s in the ship alright.” and the dialogue to set this line up.
  • Edited the “Oh he’s in the ship alright” shot so Ezra didn’t move his mouth so it could still be included. Just manually copied one mouth and shaped it onto 14 frames differently.
  • cut shot of Ezra and Sabine looking at Gar Saxon.
  • cut fade to black.
  • cut reestablishing shot after ad break.
  • cut Sabine telling Chopper “Now!” when she clearly gave the mark with “fool” already.
  • cut shot of Rau in Phantom 2 not going into hyperspace (the episode plays out with higher stakes not knowing that he’ll come back to help)
  • cut Phantom 2 in orbit to make the reveal Rau stayed more believable as we don’t see him leave Conchord Dawn.
  • cut ‘make it quick Chop, her evil cousins are coming!’
  • cut Sabine needing to ask for help… come on Ezra you’re getting shot at!
  • cut “cut them off” from Rau as just a hand signal to issue orders is cooler.
  • made Gar Saxon shoot Sabine faster by trimming and cutting two shots.
  • Updated the look of the end credit ‘concept art’
    • Added a cracked paint effect to all concept art
    • Added a canvas texture to all concept art
  • Created subtitles
  • Added chapters, subtitles and both title card art options to the video file metadata.

For recolors only:

  • Fixed colors for introduction sequence
  • Fixed colors of end credit sequence

Viewing Notes

Episode is essential viewing as it sets up the Mandalorian plotline for later in this Season and Season 4.

I’ve been trying to provide more flexibility in terms of download links in the spreadsheet. I’m beginning the process of having an all V4 1080p Recolors in GoogleDrive, Mega and Telegram, all download options will always be in Terabox due to it allowing me 1TB free storage. I’m hoping this provides everyone with the most flexibility and choice when it comes to downloading/steaming my edit.
