Nixon resigned as president of the U.S. because of that whole Watergate thing… Spielberg released his first proper theatrical film (Sugarland Express)… The student film Dark Star by John Carpenter and Dan O’Bannon received a brief theatrical run… and a little band called Queen put put their second album (Queen II).
