I’ve been way more positive on the recent Star Wars shows than other have been as despite their issues I greatly enjoyed Mandalorian season 3 and Ahsoka, but the trailer for this doesn’t inspire confidence. Its clear from the poster and trailer it wants to go for a darker, maybe even horroresque tone, but it does a poor job of portraying that. Others have mentioned the lighting as an issue, but more than that the fight choreography us somewhat lacking. I’m not sure what it was but the first fight that we see doesn’t seem as intense as it should be. I’m really hoping this is just a really bad trailer as I love the High Republic era and the premise is genuinely intriguing but the trailer just doesn’t work as it should.
