If the O-OT ever came out, the future of SW is with the PT fans. — Page 2

Ilm may be at the top of the industry but they are hardly the only one. Jim cameron's group digital domain and weta are vying for second place. who knows weta digital may just become the king of the mountain. The lord of the rings trilogy for me is the new classic star wars trilogy in quality, not the prequels. the two greatest trilogies ever oot and lotr.

there was also lucasarts but they are now merging with lucasdigital i.e. ilm. Greatest computer cgi house not doing hollywood movies is the final fantasy games team at square-enix.

a lot of games are actually becoming a viable alternative to movies. some even feel like one like hideo kojima solid snake series.

Thankfuly (IMO), for the future, we still have the two new TV series (possibly more) to look forward to. Not to mention a massive supply, and constant flow of EU to keep the adventure alive. You put into words my exact feelings on the quality of the films, that ROTS, ANH, and ESB are the true classics, while TPM, AOTC, and ROTJ will always be flawed.

How can Sith be a true classic after being around for less than year, I think it is a good/very good film, surely if it stands the test of time like Star Wars Empire and maybe Jedi, the way some talk(not neccesiry here)its flawless but Sith has flaws to me , that not to say I dont like it, but you cant compare it to Star Wars and Empire as classic because it hasnt been around long.....

OK, it's not a classic... yet. All films have their flaws. I'm saying that ROTS, along with ANH and ESB, has to be considered the best of the SW films.

I agree totally agree with you are saying, and all are flawed except A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back , and I wish the other two were as enjoyable and as good as Sith to me, and given time it may well reach Classic status.

One of my biggest problems with ROTJ is that long scene at Jabba's Palace. To me, that should have been a very short scene, considering that films place in the saga as the final film. I mean, I guess you could argue that it helped show that Luke was now a Jedi Knight, but, I just don't like it. It slows things down.

Yes that annoys me slighty, it was fun at first now the novelty has worn off slightly and I just cant wait for the Emperor/Dagobah/Rebellion scenes to start, and some of the Endor scenes annoy me once the Speeder Bike chases finishes, I just wait for Vader, Luke scenes to start etc

I do still like the film alot but I dont think it is as good as ANH or the ESB quality wise. and prefer ROTS to it at the moment..

I don't really have a problem with the Endor scenes, as that's one of my favorite SW locations. Now the ewoks, well they're a bit of a stretch.

I like the Ewoks, but it would have been nice had Lucas had gone with Wookies, but think some of the Endor scenes could have been trimmed from the end of Speeder Bike chase to Luke and Leia speaking, It doesnt spoil my enjoyment but annoying I suppose...

i dont get people just being fans of the prequels, seeing as the prequels are all about setting the OT up

some are just fans because of the cool Special Effects etc and some dont have a clue what Star Wars is a about, and just like some girls just like Sith because Hayden is a great looking guy and in turn a great actor(trust me ive seen it)..

And they are not actually fans, just teenyboppers, which have no place near Star Wars.

Hmmm, there were all kinds of girls in the 70's who were real obsessed with Skywalker (Hamill) and Han (Ford). You've seen the pictures in the lockers and all of that stuff. But the girls were more into the "hottness" of the actors during the time. So the mess with Haden is nothing new at all to the star wars universe. But never-the-less it does feel annoying to male fans I suppose.
