The "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" and the stumble has never bothered me, i didnt think was the "NOOOOOOOOO!!!!" was necessary but never hated it, but Padme and Anakins dialouge on the Balcony I thought was much worse as was "Anakin your breaking my heart" that what i thought was funny and cringeworthy...

The dialogue can be "blamed" on several reasons. Either it's Lucas' self-admitted "wooden" dialogue, his homage to the serials of the 30's/40's, or both.

Vader's "NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" is VERY justified in that all of the evil acts he commited, all of the people he killed, the entuire reason he turned to the dark side in the first place, WAS TO SAVE PADME's life. And then, he is told that in this very anger, he killed her? I think that is quite the justified "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!" Read Mattew Stover's novelization, which gives a very in-depth look into his mind at that point, and gets into his feelings and the exact situation he was in.

The problem is that I'm talking about the movie Vader in ROTS not the novelization. In the movie he says these words "YOU brought him here to kill me!", "YOUR with him!". Then, he force chokes her and, expects her to live after childbirth after that? If he were still Anakin I would understand the distraughted "no" but, he's Vader at that point suit and, all. Anakin's emotions should have died in that conversation with Padme(sort of like how Obiwan says in 6 "the good man who was your father was destroyed"). Only returning when his son tries to turn him back to the light side. I'm sure you'll come up with another explination to dispute this. Though, in the theater when I watched it, it didn't really bother me. In repeat viewings it becomes weirder(to me) don't know why.

I think the point where he screamed the "NOOOOO!" was the point where his emotions died. After that, his whole reason for NOT being evil, everything that was holding him however tenuously to humanity, died in him.

But I agree that the "NNNNNOOOOOOOO!" Was terrible. I think it should have been more of a general scream of anguish, not a word at all.

twister111, Darth Chaltab is correct in his first paragraph. The point of that scene was that his emotions changed. He still cared for Padme, but Vader was very confused and conflicted about things at that point.

Don't tell me what the "point" of a scene is. The point of a scene, a movie, etc, is whatever the viewer gets out of it. If that differs from the "vision" of the scene, then it was a poorly executed scene. That is how I feel about the Vader "NO" scene

That pic is from Star Wars: Galaxies. In the game if you go to Kashyyyk, you can sometimes observe Wookiees celebrating Life Day. Yeah, Chewbacca wears a red dress on life day, as seen in The Star Wars Holiday Special and in Galaxies.

I've had the bootleg since rots was released in may and have the dvd now, and can say it's pretty much exactly the same!

Do you mean IS exactly the same, or pretty much the same- meaning NOT exactly the same. Can't be "pretty much exactly." That's like saying there are "around one" M&M's left in the candybowl.

I assume it's the same, I'm just playing the semantics game.
We don't have enough road to get up to 88.

It is exactly the same, except for that one wipe being changed near the end.

Sorry, but what do you mean by "wipe".

It's a type of scene change where the the new scene replaces the old starting in one direction of the screen and continuing on to the other side, thus wiping the frame clean of the old scene and replacing it with the new one.

Sorry, AWK, I know he was asking the question to you, but I'm so close to 1,000 posts that I just couldn't resist answering!

There is no lingerie in space…

C3PX said: Gaffer is like that hot girl in high school that you think you have a chance with even though she is way out of your league because she is sweet and not a stuck up bitch who pretends you don’t exist… then one day you spot her making out with some skinny twerp, only on second glance you realize it is the goth girl who always sits in the back of class; at that moment it dawns on you why she is never seen hanging off the arm of any of the jocks… and you realize, damn, she really is unobtainable after all. Not that that is going to stop you from dreaming… Only in this case, Gaffer is actually a guy.

Completely understandable. However, I'll elaborate on the specific scene I was referring to:

In ROTS, you know when the scene shifts, near the end, from Obi-Wan and C-3PO inside the cockpit of Padme's ship leaving Mustafar, to Vader clawing his way up the lava bank? Well, in the theatrical version, a wipe is used to shift the scene. However in the DVD, it is a straight cut from the first scene to the next.

Darth Chaltab, Adamwankenobi, I know the intent of the scene and, on it's own it accomplishes that. However, in the conversation with Obiwan and, Padme he's pretty damn sure of himself. It makes me think that Vader has completely taken over. Then, he turns a 360 after the duel and, says "Is she alright? Is she safe?" When before the duel he was about to kill her for turning against him! I digress your oppinions my oppinions are just opposite about the scene.

Oh, yeah and, while there's talk of the wipe. I found an image of it here.
