True. And I have a theory going here... there are all kinds of coincidences going on right now that I think point to a Bears' Super Bowl victory...

1. Last year, both the Red Sox and the Pats won. Both from Massachusetts.
2. This year, the White Sox won... it's Chicago's year.
3. This is the XX anniversary of Super Bowl XX in which the Bears last won.
4. The last time the Bears won was against the Pats who won it last year. Time to dethrone.

The only way this could be more definite was if the Chinese had a Year of the Bear in their zodiac and this was it. Damn.

SUPER BOWL THEORIES ABOUND. ESPN SHOWED THEIR PLAYOFF CHART THIS MORNING. IT HAS CHICAGO AND DALLAS WINNING THEIR DIVISIONS WITH THE GIANTS AND THE REDSKINS BATTLING IT OUT WITH TWO OTHER TEAMS FOR A WILD CARD SPOT.

Cleveland hasn't had a major champion since the 1964 Cleveland Browns.

Welcome to the club.

The Cleveland curse is referred to the Curse of Rocky Colavito, named for a very popular baseball player that was traded from the Indians to the Detroit Tigers in 1960. Originally it is ONLY applied to the Indians, but is has slowly grown to encompass all sports. You can read about the curse in Wikipedia.

The Fumble (1988 AFC Championship against the Broncos). In the Wikipedia.
The Drive (1987 AFC Championship against the Broncos). In the Wikipedia.
The Shot. (1989 NBA playoffs against the Bulls). In the Wikipedia.
The Shot II. (1993- Jordan sinks it again in the playoffs to beat the Cavs).

All symptoms of the same curse.

Yes but you don't have 4 teams. Philly is gone longest without a championship of any city that has 4 teams.

I'm proud knowing Chicago is responsible for two of those.

And I would just like to say "Eat me" to Brett Favre and the Packers for not beating the ViQueens last night. WHY DIDN'T YOU BLOCK EDINGER!?!?!?!?! THE BEARS WOULD'VE HAD A THREE GAME LEAD IN THE NORTH!!!!

HMM... LET'S SEE...

1. DALLAS COWBOYS
2. DALLAS STARS
3. DALLAS MAVERICKS
4. TEXAS RANGERS
5. DALLAS BURN
6. DALLAS SIDEKICKS

YOU'RE RIGHT, WARBLER. DALLAS DOESN'T HAVE FOUR TEAMS.

Well, the Rangers are technically Arlington. Despite it being a suburb, it's like calling the Angels some ridiculous name like the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim... oh... wait...

Who the hell are the Burn and the Sidekicks? Do they count as pro sports?

You cannot assign credit to Chicago. You can only assign credit to Michael Jordan.

There is another item of the curse, but it doesn't have a specific name.
1997 World Series: Jose Mesa blew the save, allowing game 7 to be tied in the 9th. In the 11th, a single by...Edgar Rentaria, drove home the winning run for the Marlins.
The engraver in the back already had the name 'Chad Ogea' on a plate for the World Series MVP award.

I GUESS YOU HAVE TO CHEER FOR SOMEBODY SINCE YOUR eagles HAVE LOST ALL HOPE. THE THING IS A TRUE FAN WOULD NOT LOSE HOPE. WARBLER, YOUR team "COULD" WIN THE REST OF THEIR GAMES. REMEMBER, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE ONLY IMPROBABLE. SO, THE eagles NEED ONLY MAKE THEIR OWN ODDS.

The NFL didn't mandate that throwbacks be worn this year for thanksgiving. As such you had Detroit with their black jersey's and Atlanta with alternate road uniform #37. The only team that wore throwbacks was Dallas. Oh well...

And what a game that was! Denver pulling it out in overtime. I haven't seen Shanahan that excited at the end of a game since the Suberbowl years. What an awesome play by Ron Dayne. And people thought he didn't have any game left. Plummer's interception streak came to an end, but oh well. I had to happen sometime. I'm just glad Denver is still in the hunt for a first round bye in the playoffs, and possibly homefield advantage.
