Well, IMHO, you can't forget Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and, obviously, The Empire Strikes Back. With the Terminator films, Cameron did the first two, and intended to leave the ending open to interpretation and end the series there. But, someone still wanted a third film, so someone made that piece of crap called Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Now I hear there's even talk of a fourth!
