I mean, this isn’t the first time that blood relations have kissed in Star Wars. But if we end up going with this angle, we could just cut the kiss entirely, since many people don’t care for it regardless. That’s what I would do, rather than worry about making it clear that they aren’t technically related. After all, the most simple explanation is that Palpatine acted as a sort of father to both Anakin and Rey, whether he introduced his own DNA or not.
