I for one think they are a good thing, there are some damn good shows that I've missed over the years, or were just too young(or not born at all) to fully comprehend or appreciate the content(or catch them during syndication for that matter).

I have found that since these have started coming out in such a broader scale than they were, say three years ago, that I've been watching more TV than I ever have, just not what is broadcasted currently.

What are your thoughts on this subject?

Also, what shows on DVD have you gotten that have surprised you? Which ones are just not what you remember them to be?
