I’ve seen another edit where Baylan and Shin are already aboard the NR ship when it appears, and the fight is already underway. It works well and speeds things up in the beginning. Just food for thought.

Yes, the Mando movies will be episodes I to IV. And then Skeleton Crew episode VI.
I have seen the opening scene edited that way. It works well, but as an opening scene to a Star Wars movie, I feel the fuller version works better - gives me TPM vibes.
