Cut 2 is now complete and weighing in dead on 3 hours. A little longer than I would have liked and there are still elements of act 2 that I would like to shorten, particularly WBW and Ahsoka’s space walk, but its difficult doing that without continuity issues.
I’ve actually reinstated some of the New Republic elements on Seatos. Having watched it back it just didn’t flow well with Hera removed. She’s a main character and disappears after the first act. Plus the 2 hyperspace scenes on Seatos lost their impact because of the cutting required. Here is the space whale scene stripped right back but with Hera and the New Republic included.
