Nearly five years later, I’ve gone back and recreated the edit from scratch. My workflow has improved significantly, giving much higher visual fidelity including a version in upscaled 4k. I also began this time with 5.1 surround sound, improving the final audio as well as enabling much better transitions from scene to scene. The story hasn’t changed overall, but I made a few different choices from scene to or shot to shot that benefit plot clarity or character. The edit is now 5 minutes longer and truly never looked or sounded better!

This was great! Seeing the og3 early was indeed awesome - it bought more tension and hope. I had not seen the final installment Rise of Skywalker despite owning its trilogy on disc, and thought finding an all-in-one film would be perfect for what it is. Man, I really forgot chunks of TFA and TLJ. The second I saw Rose, I suddenly remembered all the grievances I’ve had with these blockbusters. Not seeing those grievances in your edit kept me in the movie. Kylo’s reveal was awesome. This edit is awesome. The ending/closing you made was brilliant, I had to do a bit of remembering and googling where I had seen it…hah! It’s from one of the movies, duh!
No wanting to escape on like-horseback from this edit, because this 3-in-1 edit is a jackpot. Thanks TP, looking forward to any projects you might be working on if so.

This is so fantastic to read! I feel really happy with the updated release of the edit. If you ever get around to watching Rise of Skywalker, I think you’ll be amazed at how different the official last chapter is from what my Franken-edit creates!
