Sorry man, I think you have Cyberhome - This is a problem on some of those models (crappy players and recorders) and there is a BETTER then not chance your player is a clone.

Lite-on or Pioneer is what I would suggest to record from your TV but like MBJ said grab a NEC DVD writer for your PC
