If Disney really wanted to revive Star Wars, they should focus on popular side characters and stories (that are fresh and don’t require much prior knowledge):
Make MOVIES of (not shows)
- A Bounty Hunter Trilogy set during the time of the OT.
- “Jedi Origins: Yoda”, potentially turn it into a series
- “Brothers in Arms”, live action Clone Wars movie series focusing on a squad of troops, cameos from other Jedi
- “Mystery of the Sith”, Palpatine origins
Ya get the point LOL
As for the animated side of the house, and I have been saying this for YEARS!
- “Legacy of the Jedi”, a The Clone Wars 3d-style animated show focusing on Luke post-ROTJ with the main OT characters as supporting characters. The final season could include some flash-forwards to help better smooth over the sequel trilogy (like TCW did for the prequels)
- Make it a long running show if possible (7-8 full-length seasons), and straight up adapt stories/arcs from EU/Legends
- Give the OT characters some cameos if possible, but hire different voice actors so they don’t have to worry about de-aging voices
